This week on Psychic Whispers, we’re talking about fate, freewill… and why human beings have an incredible ability to ignore every sign they ask the universe for.

Are some relationships destined?
Can readings actually shape outcomes?
Do soulmates always stay?
And where exactly does personal responsibility fit into spirituality?

In this episode, I’m diving into the strange dance between destiny and choice — from red flags we romanticise, to the ways awareness can completely change a path. We’ll also explore why some people feel deeply fated to enter our lives… while freewill still determines what happens next.

This is one of those deeper, thought-provoking conversations that also includes a little humour, a little emotional chaos, and probably at least one moment where you’ll feel personally called out.

Because let’s be honest… most of us have ignored our intuition at least once and then acted shocked when things unfolded exactly the way we feared.

As always, this episode is grounded, honest, relatable, and designed to help you see yourself — and your choices — a little more clearly.

If this episode resonates with you, I’d love for you to share it, tag me, or leave a review for the podcast.

Trust your path. Honour your truth. And always—keep listening.

Hello, and welcome to the Psychic Whispers Podcast. Hello, beautiful souls, and welcome back to the podcast. Now, today we are talking about one of my favorite subjects. Because honestly, humans have been arguing about this forever. What is it you ask? Well, fate versus free will. Are things meant to happen? Do we actually choose our lives? Are soulmates destined? Can readings change outcomes? And perhaps most importantly, why do people ask the universe for signs and then completely ignore every single one of them? Why do we do that? Because it happens a lot. You know, and honestly, if you've ever had a reading, ignored the advice, walked directly into chaos anyway, and then later gone, you know what, Messina, you're right. You are most definitely not alone. And I say that with love. Because, you know, deep down, we are all, every one of us, slightly chaotic human beings. So today I want this episode to feel less like a lecture and more like one of those deep conversations you have with a friend at midnight when suddenly your entire perspective shifts. And you know what? This subject is actually fascinating. And the longer I've worked professionally as a psychic medium, the more I've realized that fate and free will are not enemies. Oh, heck no. Oh, they're dance partners. And humans spend half their lives trying to work out which one of them is leading. I think one of the biggest reasons that people become obsessed with fate is because uncertainty is uncomfortable. Human beings, we love certainty. We want guarantees, reassurance. We want to know: will this relationship work? Will I get the job? Will they come back? Am I on the right path? And honestly, I get it. I'm there with you. Life can feel terrifying sometimes, especially when you're emotionally attached to an outcome. But one thing I've learned after reading for people all these years professionally is that life is rarely as fixed as people might think it is. There are moments that feel deeply destined. People you were absolutely meant to meet. Experiences that completely alter your path. Moments that spiritually wake you up. But there is also an enormous amount of choice inside those moments and leading up to those moments. And I think this is where people misunderstand spirituality sometimes. Because spirituality is often sold as everything happens exactly as it's meant to. But personally, I think that removes human responsibility far too much. Because if everything is fixed, then why grow? Why heal? Why would you learn or even evolve? Why would your choices matter at all? And trust me, your choices absolutely matter. And for those of you listening that know this because you've ignored your intuition for six months and it nearly took you out emotionally, just know we've all done it. You hear me, right? And I feel you. Now, honestly, relationships are where this conversation becomes hilarious. Because people love asking about fate in relationships. I get this a lot. And here's where I'm going to just do a little truth bomb from my position. You know, sometimes I'll sit there in a reading gently explaining this person is inconsistent. They avoid accountability. This energy feels emotionally immature. They're giving basically breadcrumbs to you. And my client might say, Yeah, but do you think they're my soulmate? And I'm just sitting here, like, why are we romanticizing emotional unavailability? Just a little FYI to society. Can we stop doing that now? Because it's not working. Gotta be honest. But you know, sometimes people confuse intensity with destiny. And they are not, absolutely not the same thing. Sometimes someone activates your wounds, not your future. And that's important. And some people enter your life to awaken something. Maybe some arrive to teach you boundaries. And some might come because they need to help you finally recognize your worth. And yes, some people genuinely are soul connections, a hundred percent. But a soul connection does not automatically mean that it's healthy or stable or compatible or even forever, dare I say it. And that is where free will enters the room carrying the chaos. You know, two people can absolutely feel destined to meet and still completely destroy the relationship through poor communication, avoidance, ego, fear, dishonesty, or just flat out refusing to heal. And we cannot spiritually bypass human behavior. I'm gonna say that again because it really matters. So here it here it is again. We cannot spiritually bypass human behavior. Okay, now here is where things really get interesting. Because people often ask if you tell somebody something in reading, does it change the future? I mean, does that person take the information that I've said and go out and make it happen or avoid it, prevent it from happening? And you know what? Honestly, maybe yes. Absolutely. Because awareness changes behavior. I can completely say that's possible. Okay, so imagine somebody receives a reading, and in that reading, I or another psychic has said, you keep abandoning yourself in relationships. Well, now suddenly they become more conscious. They begin noticing patterns. Perhaps they pause before emotionally chasing unavailable people. They choose differently. That changes outcomes. But then there's the opposite side, too. Sometimes people hear a prediction and become so determined to avoid it that they accidentally create it. And you know, humans are really good at this. Honestly, we're little manifesting chaos goblins sometimes. I tell you what, we are all capable. Maybe, for example, someone hears this connection may end if communication doesn't improve. And instead of improving the communication, they panic, they become anxious, they start over-monitoring everything. They become emotionally reactive and accidentally create the exact distance in the relationship that they feared, which makes them turn back to these readings to go, oh my gosh, like you predicted that. Like that's it. And meanwhile, you know, there's their guardian in the corner. Like, we literally tried to warn you. And this is why, me personally, my perspective about readings are not about fixed doom and destiny. This is not exactly how it has to be. What they are is about awareness, energy, possibility, patterns, even, potential trajectories. Not you are trapped inside a spiritually assigned screenplay. Absolutely not, because that would be horrifying, honestly. Not what we want. So let me tell you what I actually think fate is. This is my personal perspective after decades of doing this work. I think fate exists in key moments. Certain meetings, maybe even certain awakening points in our lives, crossroads, particular opportunities. I absolutely believe that some people are meant to collide. And I absolutely believe that some experiences are soul shaping and were meant to happen. I think that certain losses change us forever. And I think there are moments in life where something inside you just knows this matters. It's important. You just feel it deeply. I just think free will determines what we do with those moments. And that's the important part. You might be fated to meet someone, but not fated to stay the same. Maybe fate really leads you to experience a heartbreak, but you're not fated to remain broken. You might be guided toward a particular path, but you still have to walk it. And honestly, sometimes fate just looks less magical than people expect. Sometimes fate is pure and simple. The conversation that you nearly didn't have, an opportunity that you nearly ignored, a moment you finally listened to yourself, a boundary that you finally set, or a version of you that you finally stopped abandoning. That is powerful. Fate can be in those little moments, or it can be something absolutely mind-blowingly massive. I think it takes so many different forms. It's incredible. Now, I also think people sometimes imagine the universe as this giant controlling force micromanaging every tiny detail. Something like you were meant to buy that sandwich at exactly 2.17 p.m. And I don't think spirituality works like that personally. I think there's guidance, little nudges, you know, openings, windows of opportunity. But I also think that human beings have some autonomy. And you know what? Thank God we do. Because imagine if every single thing was pre-written. Uh, no thanks. Part of being human is choice. Messy, messy choice, emotional choice, sometimes questionable choice. And sometimes, why did I text my ex at 1 a.m.? Kind of choice. You know, that too. And I think spirituality should empower people, not remove their agency. You know, good psychic reading should never make anyone feel powerless. In any form, it should help them feel more aware, more connected, more emotionally honest, and more capable of navigating their life consciously. Now, here lies the very twisty part of this conversation. I love this part. I like a plot twist. Because people also ask, did the reading shape the outcome? Oh, what a question, right? But then another question appears. What if I said to you that fate led you to the reading in the first place? I mean, mic drop, boom. Who's to say that wasn't all meant to be? I cannot count how many times over the years there have been so many moments where clients found me at exactly the right time. They've told me that. And I hear that a lot over these years of working with people. You know, it wasn't six months earlier or two years too late. It was exactly when something inside them was ready to hear whatever was in the reading. And I've seen those readings become part of the turning point. Not because that future is fixed, but awareness instead arrived at exactly the moment it was needed. And that's really powerful to me. So where do I stand? Ultimately, do I believe in fate? Absolutely. I've seen far too many things in my own life, in clients' lives, in all this work that I've done. Too many things that show me that fate is real, that it's a thing, that I believe in it. But do I believe in free will? Also, absolutely yes. Because I've watched free will shape and change and mold the outcome or people shift and evolve and transform. And not because they were fated to, but because they absolutely chose to. And I think life is a conversation between the two. And I think intuition exists to help guide us through that conversation a little more consciously. But your choices, they matter. And your healing matters. And so do your boundaries and your self-awareness. All of that matters. And sometimes the biggest spiritual shift of all is finally recognizing that you are not powerless inside your own life. I mean, there's enough Instagram memes, right? Social media's got that down. You're in control. Let's do this. And it means something. It's true. The memes are not wrong. I just want you to know that. You are not powerless inside your own life. Fate hasn't got this thing worked out for you. It's just got these little milestones along the way. Think of it as the journey that you're meant to be on. And as long as you hit a few of the destinations, you get to decide how you take that pathway. Whether you drive, walk, take a bus, take a train, take a plane. However, you decide to do your journey, it's your choice. And however many times you backtrack and go back and forth between places, also your choice. But some of the fate is about making sure some of the destinations are reached. And life just has this beautiful way of getting us there, regardless when we're fated to. In the meantime, you get to work out all the stuff in between. And that matters. Anyway, thank you so much for spending this time with me today. And if this episode resonated with you, I'd absolutely love for you to share it or send it to someone who's currently trying to work out whether their relationship is fate or just emotional confusion with good lighting.
